RENNES, France – April 8, 2015 – BBright, the UHD infrastructure start up focused on 4K / Ultra HD and HEVC video solutions, today announced a 4K/UHD play-out server to simplify field trials and accelerate live UHD adoption by the broadcast, IPTV and OTT industries.
BBright’s versatile baseband 3G-SDI player UHD-Play enables customers to test and evaluate multiple UHD live pre-recorded feeds and simulate live Ultra HD channels.
“BBright is devoted to developing products for the UHD ecosystem. Cooperating with several customers such as live encoder manufacturers, broadcasters and network operators on UHD trials is the best way to accelerate global UHD adoption worldwide. Our joint end-to-end solutions are now available and UHD is at last here to stay” said Guillaume Arthuis, BBright’s CEO. UHD-Play is an innovative and affordable 4K-baseband player with quad 3G-SDI outputs for pristine uncompressed video quality in 4:2:2, 10-bit, at up to 60fps. This product is compatible with multi-file formats and provides a perfect alternative source to a live 4K feed. Moreover, UHD-Play embeds an HD/Full-HD to Ultra HD upscaler after file ingest. UHD-Play is an essential tool for any Ultra HD Proof of Concept field trial, encoder and other 4K equipment testing, as well as for uncompressed Ultra HD play-out head-end applications.
UHD-Play will be demonstrated on BBright booth, # SU6418, during the NAB Show.
