RENNES – France, 1st September 2017
At IBC 2017, BBright will be introducing its second generation of transport stream playout solution with multiple programs delivery in a single box necessary for cost-effective distribution applications in linear broadcast or IPTV head-ends.
BBright is leveraging on its existing Ultra HD market success to currently propose a 24/7 SPTS distribution solution for multiple SD, HD, Full-HD and UHD channels to network operators, broadcasters, premium TV channels and IPTV telco’s.
The new Multi-TS platform is a direct evolution of the market leading software-based UHD-TS product. Transport Stream files, pre-encoded with HEVC, AVC/H.264, MPEG-2 Codec’s, can be easily streamed over redundant IP networks according to (by channel) playout event schedulers and fully embedded playout automation.
Advanced TS processing features such as PID re-mapping, PTS/DTS re-stamping, Continuity Counter, PCR realignment, GOP cleaning offer the insurance of seamless TSoIP output streams leading to the best consumer viewing experience. In addition, all popular HDR standards, namely HDR10-PQ and HLG are supported.
The Multi-TS playout solution has been designed, from the ground-up, for remote operations where the TV channel is not physically present close to the video server. Embedded scheduler provides integrated playout automation. Individual channel licensing allows to scale-up SPTS delivery layout according to customer’s needs.
BBright CEO, Guillaume Arthuis explained: ” For the past two years our legacy UHD-TS has been qualified and operated daily by Terrestrial, Satellite and Telco operators in Europe and Asia. Listening to the requests of our main customers, we are now introducing a multi stream TS playout solution, again fully software-based on pure CPU, and that will be ported soon onto Virtual Machine and into the Cloud. “.
