BBright Announces RIST Support For Its IP Gateway At NAB 2026, Reinforcing Interoperability And Core Network Stability

BBright, a leading provider of next-generation media processing solutions, today announced that its IP Gateway now supports the Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) protocol. This new capability will be introduced at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas.

With the addition of RIST, BBright’s IP Gateway further expands its comprehensive transport ecosystem, which already includes MPEG Transport Stream (TS), SMPTE ST 2022-7 seamless protection switching, and Secure Reliable Transport (SRT). This broad protocol support positions the gateway as a key building block for reliable contribution and distribution workflows across both managed and unmanaged networks.

By bringing together TS, ST 2022-7, SRT, and RIST within a single platform, BBright enables seamless interoperability between heterogeneous infrastructures while ensuring the highest levels of resilience and service continuity. This makes the IP Gateway a powerful tool for operators managing increasingly complex and hybrid IP environments.

Beyond transport capabilities, BBright’s IP Gateway stands out for its deeply integrated and user-oriented monitoring environment, designed specifically with operators in mind. Rather than relying on external probes or fragmented toolchains, the solution embeds real-time monitoring directly into the workflow. Operators can instantly visualize video streams through thumbnails, monitor audio levels, and access advanced MPEG-TS analysis including ETR 290 alarms, alongside detailed SRT and RIST statistics. This tight integration provides immediate operational insight, reduces troubleshooting time, and simplifies day-to-day operations in live environments where every second matters.

To further ease integration into existing ecosystems, the IP Gateway also features a fully open REST API, enabling straightforward orchestration, automation, and control from third-party systems. This openness allows customers to seamlessly integrate the gateway into their own management platforms, control layers, or cloud-based workflows without friction.

Adding RIST support reinforces our commitment to open, robust, and interoperable transport technologies,” said Lénaïck Boivin, Chief Sales Officer at BBright. “But what truly differentiates our IP Gateway is the experience we deliver to operators. We designed it not just to transport streams, but to give users full visibility and control, all within a single, intuitive environment.

Designed for maximum deployment flexibility, BBright’s IP Gateway is available as a turnkey appliance, a virtual machine, or deployable in public cloud environments, enabling seamless integration into on-premises, virtualized, or cloud-native infrastructures.

At NAB Show 2026, BBright will showcase how its IP Gateway combines transport reliability, interoperability, and operator-centric monitoring to simplify and secure modern IP media workflows.
