BBright will showcase EBU OGraf animated graphics support in its software-based playout platform at IBC 2026, highlighting a new way to bring open, HTML5-based graphics into Ultra HD and IP-native channel workflows.

The new graphics engine enables animated OGraf templates to be rendered directly within the BBright Playout workflow. By integrating graphics rendering into a platform already designed for Ultra HD and SMPTE ST 2110 environments, including ST 2110-41 metadata and ST 2110-43 timed text, BBright aims to simplify the way broadcasters manage graphics across production and distribution.

Developed as an open specification for web-based broadcast graphics, EBU OGraf provides a common format that can be used across compatible authoring, production and playout systems. This allows broadcasters to reuse the same templates and creative assets across different parts of the workflow, reducing the need to rebuild graphics for proprietary rendering platforms.

For broadcasters managing live channels, event-based programming or multi-platform distribution, this approach can help create more consistent graphics workflows from production through to playout, while preserving flexibility in system design.

Visitors to IBC 2026 will be able to see a live demonstration of the new OGraf capabilities on the BBright stand.

Graphics are becoming an increasingly important part of the broadcast workflow, but they are still too often tied to proprietary environments,” said Guillaume Arthuis, Founder and Managing Director of BBright. “By adding EBU OGraf support to our Ultra HD and ST 2110 playout platform, we want to help broadcasters build more open, consistent and future-ready graphics workflows across production and distribution.

BBright, part of Hexaglobe Group, will exhibit at IBC 2026 on stand 2.B51.
