Ground to Cloud and Cloud to Ground: BBright is the Right Partner

In today’s hybrid broadcast world, flexibility and interoperability are key. Whether content is created on-premises or distributed from the cloud, broadcasters need reliable and efficient workflows to move high-quality video and audio “ground to cloud” and “cloud to ground”.

This is exactly where BBright delivers, with proven, high-performance IP-based solutions that make hybrid infrastructures simple, efficient, and future-ready.

Ground to Cloud: Encode with confidence

Moving content to the cloud starts on the ground. BBright’s Professional Encoders are designed for live contribution, playout, or production environments, providing pristine video quality and full IP compatibility.

With support for ST 2110 uncompressed inputs, BBright encoders can ingest UHD, HDR, and multichannel audio from any IP-based production setup. The content is then encoded in real time into mezzanine or distribution formats such as HEVC or H264 and securely transported to cloud platforms via SRT protocols.

✅ Key benefits:

  • Broadcast-grade encoding up to Ultra HD, 4:2:2 10 bits.
  • ST 2110 or SDI inputs for maximum flexibility
  • Cloud-ready IP transport (SRT)
  • Unique user interface with key transmission KPIs (SRT statistics, ETR290 alarms…)

BBright’s encoder is the ideal entry point to the cloud, ensuring high-quality, standards-based workflows from the ground up.

Cloud to Ground: Decode with reliability

Once in the cloud, content eventually needs to make its way back to broadcast centers, production facilities, or distribution points. BBright’s Decoder ensures that the return path, cloud to ground, is just as efficient and reliable.

Supporting a wide range of IP transport protocols and compressed formats, the BBright Decoder can receive contribution feeds from the cloud, decode them in real time, and output them over ST 2110, SDI, or even HDMI for some specific monitoring use cases (Dolby Vision & Atmos).

BBright IP Gateway: Bridging environments

For broadcasters embracing hybrid IP workflows, the BBright IP Gateway acts as the perfect bridge between on-prem and cloud environments.

It provides protocol conversion & stream adaptation, and monitoring capabilities, making it possible to interconnect production islands, cloud services, or remote locations over IP networks.

The IP Gateway can manage TS over IP or SRT/RIST streams, ensuring that every piece of the workflow remains synchronized and interoperable.

✅ Highlights:

  • Protocol conversion (TS/IP ↔ SRT/RIST)
  • Stream monitoring
  • Available as VM, Appliance, or AWS.
